AURORA: TALES OF THE GODDESS is an immersive cinematic art adventure inspired by the natural phenomena of the Aurora Borealis and Australis. These beautiful spectacles – named after Aurora, the Roman goddess of dawn – have fascinated both scientists and storytellers for centuries.
Based on extensive research into auroral phenomena across scientific theory, mythology, and folklore, the Aurora Odyssey blends multimedia art, data sonification, and state-of-the-art immersive technology into a visceral symphony of light, sound, and myth.
The project is envisioned as both a virtual and physical cinematic journey — including a full-dome format — utilizing real-time interactive virtual environments and multidimensional spatial audio. It offers audiences a transcendent encounter with myth, light, and cosmic memory.

SOLAR STORM
THE BEGINNING
“Going beyond, toward infinity, where the driving force exists for all living beings.”
The journey begins with the Sun — the origin of all auroral light. This immersive movement takes you into the heart of a solar storm, where sound and energy collide, revealing the cosmic force behind the dance of the aurora.

EPHEMERIS
AURORA DATA SONIFICATION
“Decoding the mystery — the invisible communication between
the Sun and Earth.”
Ephemeris means “journal” in Greek — this movement transforms 30 years of aurora data into sound, unveiling a symphony of light and mystery woven from the rhythms of the cosmos.

VR LIVE SHOW
“Step into a fantastical live performance where Goddess of the Dawn awakens.”
Wielding the Mi.Mu gloves, she conjures light, sound, and motion —
channeling celestial beauty into a radiant dance of immersive storytelling.
Here, myth becomes experience, and technology becomes poetry.

Dolby Atmos Auditorium Showcase

Presented at the 2023 FARM Workshop in Seattle, this immersive performance featured full Dolby Atmos spatialization on a 110-channel Meyer Sound system. Supported by a Professional Activities Grant and recognized by the ICFP committee.
AURORA: Goddess of the Dawn premiered to a full audience in a cinematic showcase of light, myth, and spatial sound.
